This policy explains what Bible Hour collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have when using the Bible Hour app, website, and related services.

1. Who We Are

Bible Hour Inc. ("Bible Hour," "we," "our," or "us") provides a Bible app and related website that help people receive scripture, save verses, create notes and collections, join Circles, and receive devotional reminders.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide, information created when you use app features, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.

Account information

If you choose to sign in, we receive the information provided by Apple, Google, or another supported sign-in provider, such as your user ID, email address, display name, and profile photo URL. We use Firebase Authentication to manage accounts.

Bible Hour content and preferences

We may store the Bible version, language, topic, theme, notification preferences, saved scriptures, collections, notes, reading plan progress, God Time sessions, devotional streaks, and other settings you create in the app.

Community and Circles content

If you use Circles, we store the circles you create or join, invite codes, member lists, roles, posts, prayer requests, testimony-style posts, attached scripture references, and related profile details such as display name and photo URL.

Notifications and device data

If you enable notifications, we store Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens and related delivery preferences such as platform, app version, language, selected Bible version, selected topic, and subscribed notification hours.

Usage, diagnostics, and support

We use Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, and related Google services to understand app usage, improve reliability, and diagnose crashes or errors. If you contact us, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, platform, and message.

Social publishing tools

Bible Hour may use internal tools to generate and publish Bible Hour-owned scripture images or videos to platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X. These tools are for Bible Hour's own social media accounts and do not publish from your personal social media accounts unless you separately authorize a platform flow.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide hourly scripture, topic feeds, Bible reading, saved scriptures, notes, collections, reading plans, God Time, and Circles features.
  • Sync your account data across devices when you choose to sign in.
  • Send scripture alerts, local reminders, and push notifications you enable.
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve Bible Hour.
  • Respond to support requests and app feedback.
  • Generate and manage Bible Hour-owned social media posts and videos.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal account data for third-party advertising.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide and protect Bible Hour:

  • Google Firebase and Google Analytics for Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, messaging, and app operations.
  • Apple and Google when you use their sign-in services.
  • Email and support providers when you submit a contact request.
  • TikTok, Meta, X, or similar platforms only for Bible Hour-owned social publishing features or when a platform authorization flow is intentionally used.
  • Law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. Community Content

Circles are community features. Content you post in a Circle, including prayer requests, scripture shares, comments, display name, and profile photo, may be visible to other members of that Circle. Please do not share sensitive information you do not want other Circle members to see.

6. Your Choices

You can use many Bible Hour features without signing in. If you sign in, you can update profile details in the app where supported.

You can enable or disable notifications in the app and in your device settings. You can also change scripture topics, Bible version, language, and app preferences.

To request account deletion or deletion of associated cloud data, contact us at support@bible-hour.com.

7. Data Retention and Security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Bible Hour, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. We use managed cloud infrastructure and reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Bible Hour is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

9. International Users

Bible Hour is operated from the United States. If you use Bible Hour from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Bible Hour changes. When we do, we will update the date above and post the revised policy on this page.
